Does anyone have an easy way to teach kids about fractions?

OpenStudy (precal):

Yes, talk about slicing a pizza.

OpenStudy (precal):

Any time you have fruit or cake, use that opportunity to illustrate a fraction. My favorite is doing a cookie recipe but only doing half of it.

OpenStudy (precal):

It forces them to take half of (1/2) and half of (1/4)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yeah kids loooove visuals....and food...yeah..food too....mmhmm

OpenStudy (precal):

http://www.ixl.com/math/grade-2 do a search for fractions + interactive websites on google. There are many free sites out there. Talk about fractions, have fun!
