ABCD is a rhombus with diagonals intersecting at E. If m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was told it was 4m+m=180, but how do they get that?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

|dw:1334421752760:dw| all four angles sum up to 360 degrees. let <BAD=x . so, <ABC=4x and opposite angles of a rhombus are equal. so, 2(x+4x)=360 or, 10x= 360 or, x=36 now <BAD=36 and <ABC=144

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait, how did you get all angles sum up to 360 degrees?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

And ofcourse diagonals bisect the angles and the diagonals perpendicularly bisect each other. so, <EBC = half of <ABC |dw:1334422070645:dw| think you can solve now? 360 degrees because sum of interior angles any four sided polygon, that is, any quadrilateral equals 360 degrees. And ofcourse rhombus is a polygon!
