i thought it was four slots for the letters and there are 9 letters in total therefore the first slot has 9 possible letters, one letter fills that spot so the next has 8 possible letters and so on. So its 9x8x7x6 which is 3024 but i may be wrong, I'm trying to understand this right now myself. Does this approach make sense?
