Need help with the coordinates for 12x+3y>_24 and -x+y<_5

OpenStudy (jlastino):

is _ the negative sign?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello no its suppose to be under the greater and lower than to make it equal \[12x+3y \ge24 and -x+y \le5\]

OpenStudy (jlastino):

oh so y<_ 5+x 12x + 3(5+x)>_24 12x+15+3x>_24 15x<_9 i think you can do it from here

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

graph the lines... 12x + 3y <= 24 has intercepts (2, 0) and (0, 8) the line is solid and the area that satisfies the inequality is to the right of the line -x + y <= 5 intecepts (-5, 0) (0, 5) the line is solid and the are satisfying the inequality is below the line... the area satisfying both inequalities is shown |dw:1334448091350:dw|
