One astronomer is studying the nature of an electromagnetic wave emitted by hot gases in the universe. The electromagnetic wave has higher frequency than visible light but lower frequency than gamma rays. What electromagnetic wave is the astronomer most likely studying? X-ray Radio wave Microwave Infrared light

X-ray... I think

OpenStudy (liliakarina):

X-rays. Its wave length is between 10 to 0.1 nanometres, corresponding to the range of 30 to 3.000 Peta Hertz (50 to 50000 higher than visible light). Different to gamma rays, X-rays come from extranuclear phenomena, at the electronic orbit level, by electron deceleration.
