How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsy pop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

depends on how long it is

OpenStudy (jlastino):

ummm...pass?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let's find out *unwraps tootsy pop and proceeds to lick it* One..TwohooHOO.....Three...*bites the lollipop clean off*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess the world may never know....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol @ninhi5 , "depends on how LONG it is" :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's wrong with that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's a lollipop...

OpenStudy (jlastino):

@dpalnc so it depends how "BIG" it is :))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok guys this is supposed to be a meeting place for learning.... actually, my teacher did a math "lab" on this when I took calc. we didn't acutally figure out the number of licks to get to the center of the lollipop but we figured out the rate at which the lollipop was decreasing so we could approximate the answer. it was cool..

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

why is this question still open ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you had a big enough class, you could have each person conduct their own experiment, and then you could construct a bell curve using the mean and standard deviation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That'd be fun.
