I have a question about citing a reference from a kindle book using MLA...I looked on the owl website and couldn't find an example. I am writing a paper based on a book I downloaded to my kindle. How would I cite that? The page numbers to the book are not the same as the kindle. Suggestions?
kmaymoore, (MLA 7th ed.) How do I cite an e-book on a device like a Kindle, Nook, or iPad? Slawenski, Kenneth. J.D. Salinger: A Life. New York: Random, 2011. N. pag. EPUB file. http://www.noodletools.com/helpdesk/kb/index.php?action=article&id=206&relid=2 Sounds like you're in the home stretch !!! You should be able to finish up with that info. :-)
PS - the link answers your question about pagination. The MLA rule on digital pagination is the same as the APA rule: basically, if it 's not the same, don't use the page numbers. Look at the details, though (on the website), to match the instructions with your specific situation.
