cos(Tan^-1 (5/6))

OpenStudy (slaaibak):

\[\cos( \tan^{-1}({5 \over 6}))\] so, lets use substitution. \[x = \tan^{-1}({5 \over 6})\] so we need to find cos(x) BUT since \[x = \tan^{-1}({5 \over 6}) ------> tan(x) = {5 \over 6}\] so, use that to find cos x.

its a capital T, though so principle inverse..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@slaaibak it's a capital T on tan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[ \Huge \cos (\tan ^{-1} x ) = \frac{1}{\sqrt{1+x^2}} \]
