get rid of the grouping symbol then combine like terms..dont forget to distribute the minus as well 4x^2 - 3x^2 + 7x -(-2x) -5 - (-4)
OpenStudy (campbell_st):
collect like terms \[(4 - 3)x^2 +(7 + 2)x - (5 + 4) = x^2 + 9x - 1\]
