OpenStudy (sarahc):

For a triangle with sides a = 418 and b = 222, side c must be less than what length? (numeric answer)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

less than 418 + 222

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c has to be less than a+b 418+22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and c has be be greater than 488-222

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

law of sides of triangles...just for extra info... a+b > c b+c > a a+c > b

Directrix (directrix):

The triangle inequality theorem states that any side of a triangle is always shorter than the sum of the other two sides. So, c < 418 + 222 c < 640
