can someone help me through this

a fluxgate magnetometer can be used to measure the vertical B-field (Bz). At a certain location in the northern hemisphere the proton magnetometer (measures total B field) gives a reading of 50000nT. the inclination is known to be 40 degrees. show that the expected reading is around 32140nT.

you might need $$B=\upsilon _{0} (H+M)$$    where upsilon0 is 1.257*10^-6

oh show expected reading ON A FLUXGATE was missing...
i do this by using triangle rules... sin40= opp/50knT

sin40 *5*10^-5 = 32140  finito!
