Given that the point (-11,-8) is on a graph and the graph is symmetric about the y-axis, find another point (x, y) that is on the graph.

If (x,y) is on the graph, and the graph is symmetric about the y-axis, then (-x,y) is on the graph. So this means that (11,-8) is also on the graph. A drawing really helps see why (11,-8) is the answer.
