why the concept of gene is more important? and what do u mean by saying foundation stone of all genetic principles is gene?...
One simple answer can be that the central part of the word "genetic" derives from gene. Also, all matters we discuss and associated phenomena are centred around "gene". Like "cell" is the building block of life, similarly, "gene'' is the building block og genetics. Hope u understand.

the concept of gene is important so that any question regarding living organism will be answered. like for instance why does a person has a rare kind of disease, the answer is genetics... maybe in their family lineage there's one that also has a disease of that kind and passed it through to the siblings even though many generations have been passed. why does a person looks like their parents it is because of passing of traits from parents to offspring. And that's the most important in the concept of genes the passing of traits from parents to offspring, although it is affected by external environment causing variation.
