You have to use the equation to find a distance between two points: p(x,y) = sqrt(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2)
p(x,y) = sqrt( (400--200) ^2 + (-100-100)^2) p(x,y) = ~632.455km For the direction, you plug the two points in a plan and voila! :)
|dw:1334601324157:dw| units are in hundreds find equation of line by finding slope then using point-slope form y-y1 = m(x-x1) for direction, tan theta = 3 --> theta = 71.565 South by East
