How would you write 6 × 6 × 6 × 6 as an exponential expression?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

whats the definition of an exponential expression?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

How many times is 6 used as a factor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4

OpenStudy (mertsj):

What do you suppose the exponent should be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be|dw:1334609124996:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. 6 × 4 B. 6 > 4 C. 6^4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because the 6 is used 4 times so that would make the exponent 4 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the last one ;) good luck hun!

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Well good for school. He/she knows how to do it. Perhaps you could submit all you homework questions to him/her and then you wouldn't have to do anything. (of course you wouldn't learn anything either.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I taught it to him/her so stop being a jerk the kid/young adult just needed some help so I explained and showed the answer, sometimes people don't get it right away. my teacher always tells me the answer then explains when I ask for help, so that I don't get lost along the way.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

its actually better for these basic things to let the asker come to the answer thru guidance. Which is what Mertsj was trying to accomplish

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I guess since I am a kid and I am coming from a kids perspective just trying to help the way me and all of my friends minds work makes me retar ded but whatever... I guess getting "Best Answer" doesn't mean anything either.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

Best Answer doesnt mean anything really :) I understand the "kid" point of view. But try to see it from us "old people" point of view as well.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh and by the way he knew how to do it, he explained the answer to me just now, he just got confused :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do . and the old people veiw, AKA the way my mom trys to teach me doesn't work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not stupid just struggled a little bit so dang cut me a break geesh

OpenStudy (amistre64):

I can tell your young, you like to try to prove your position. :) But I am glad you offered some reasoning afterwards

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh hun no one is calling you stupid! They are basically telling me I should just talk you through it with hints instead of giving the answer and then explaining.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Well, one thing I would say, is that if someone is explaining to an asker, it is probably just as well not to butt in.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just leave the topic alone your rude man

OpenStudy (mertsj):

I guess my thought would be that the one who interrupts is the rude one.
