the volume of a cylinder with a diameter of 6 and a height of 9 and the answer rounded to two decimal places is 254.34 trying to see if the formula i remember is correct

OpenStudy (zepp):

The area multiplied by the height gives the volume.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6/2=3 pi x 3^2 x 9 = 254.47

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yo almost got it girl..

OpenStudy (zepp):

\[πr ^{?}*h\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its not 3 x 3 its 3x 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it is 3 times 3 were am i going off

OpenStudy (zepp):

It's \[π(6/2)^{2}*9\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3.14 x 9 x 9

OpenStudy (zepp):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well it gives me 254.34 they said it was wrong

OpenStudy (zepp):

Because π is not 3.14, it's 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307816406286208998628034825342117067982148086513282306647093844609550582231725359408128481117450284102701938.......... You'll need the whole value of π to get to the right answer.
