4. The frequencies of musical notes ( measured in cycles per second) form a geometric sequence. Middle C has a frequency of 256 c/s and C an octave higher, has a frequency of 512 c/s. Find the frequency of the C two octaves below middle C Please show me how to do this!

Octaves are a doubling in frequency. 1 octave high, means 2 times the frequency 1 low means half

256Hz /2 = 128Hz 128Hz /2 = 64Hz

All you have to do to find the higher octave of any note, is take that notes frequency, and double it. To find the lower octave of any note, cut it in half.
