Proper mathematical notation is important, believe it or not, just like typing properly in an essay so there is no ambiguity as to exactly what you mean. A statement of equivalence\[A=B\]is a proposition such that, "If A is true, then B is true." However, a mere statement of a proposition, like\[A\]only tells us an abstract proposition that has no meaning, much like, saying, "I can imagine a yellow tree. Doesn't mean anything--or that it exists--but I can imagine it."
