In your own words, explain how geysers and hot springs are formed in Yellowstone National Park. List one use of hot springs.

Water in a water pipe from an underwater river is being heated deep inside earth, slowly, to above the boiling point at surface (which is 100°C), but the pressure deep below the water pipe prevents the water from boiling. The heating goes on towards the water above, until a water vapour bubble can be formed which pushes the water further up to the surface, into a fountain. you can wash your hair in a hot spring.
