Use a table of values to graph each quadratic function y= -2*x^2 +2....what are the imputs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try -2,-1,0,1,2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but then after i use those what do i do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get the y values and plot them on a grid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You are just graphing. Input is x and output is y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the points and connect them.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example x y 0 2 1 0 2 -2 the just plot (0,2) (1,0) (2,-2) and so on..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its supposed to be a parabola

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that just makes a line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then What you can do is solve it's zeros by using the quadratic formula. From there you can plot and graph around those values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a=-2 b=0 and c=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should look like this http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=-2x^2+%2B2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hehe you were just a couple of points away from making the parabola. That's why it's always helpful to make a lot of points to get a bigger picture.
