Suppose you roll two number cubes and pick a letter of the alphabet at random. Find the probability you roll 2 even numbers and pick one of the vowels a, e, i, o, or u.

is it 1/6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/6 for even number...then u hve to add 5/26

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The equation you have to use for this is the following : P(getting an even number on dice 1) * P(getting an even number on dice 2) * P(picking a vowel in the alphabet) so getting an even number on dice1 is 3/6, same goes for second probability, and you have 5/26 chances of getting either a,e,i,o,u, so your combined probability is : 3/6*3/6*5/26 = 5/104

thankyou

|dw:1334669381131:dw| The probability u get 2 even number in both...so its 1/12
