volume = area of the bottom * the height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x^3 + 7x^2 + 7x – 15=(x+3) (x-1) (x+5)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area of bottom = volume/height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if the height is \(x+3\) that makes the rectagle \((x-1)(x+5)\)
