A flock of Canadian geese migrated 1623 miles in 28 days. What was the average rate at which these geese traveled in miles? Check my answer please!!! Divide 1623 by 28=57.964

Yes, but that would give you there rate traveled in miles/day. It does not specify, so this might be ok, but a more standard answer would be in miles/hour for which you would take 1623 and divide it by 24 times 28. 1623 / (24 * 28) = ?

This would give you miles/hour.

You don't have enough data to imply a five-significant figure answer. I'd go with "approximately 58 miles per day." Usually, I'm a miles per hour guy like lelandmiller above, but in this case, I think miles per day is a suitable unit.
