A tyre with diameter 30cm, travels 5km. How many times does the tyre rotate?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I might be wrong... But what if you calculated the circle's perimeter ( 2 x pi x radius) and then divided 5km/first answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 x radius = diameter, so 30 pi would be the first answer. 30 times 3, 14 equals 94,2

hmmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

500000 cm / 94,2 cm would be your final answer... I guess.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

close.

my text gave the answer 5305, your gave me 5307

I used 3,14 = pi... That's the value we use in Brazil. Calculate it again with 3,14159265, it might give you the correct answer.
