Hmm, I think it would most likely be A. The point of a classification tree is to identify organisms and it would be a trivial exercise if it didn't tell you what those organisms are. That said, the tree contains and uses information about the characteristics of those organisms (option B) but is not explicitly a listing of that info.

It is an awkwardly worded question - a case could be made for any of the options, but the strongest case, in my opinion, can be made for A.
