To convert yards to FEET: 3 feet in 1 yard. 1.5 yards * (3feet/1yard) = 4.5 feet To convert feet to INCHES: 12 inches in 1 foot 4.5 feet * (12inches/1foot) = 54 inches

A is not the answer, if that is what you're saying. We converted 1.5 yards to 4.5 feet, and we converted 4.5 feet to 54 inches. She needs 54 inches. If she buys a piece that is 50 inches, then she will not have enough.
