f(x)= -2x^2+5 graph the function by hand. find the domain and range of the function.

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

what do you need help with specifically?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know how i would graph it

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

well f(x) = y so x is your input and y is your output Insert numbers the numbers -100, -10, -5, -2, 0, 2, 5, 100 into your function as x values then what record what you get out to generate the y coordinate. you can then graph the points and use the -100 and +100 to know how the graph is chainging on bothsides. First you should find domain, since this is a linear equation the domain is all real numbers, all x values can be inputed into it without breaking anyrules. To find the range of the function look at what posslbe x values you can have for this function to do that notice that the equation is of a parabala. Find the vertex of it and that will tell you your range
