What is a polar bond? I dont understand it. I need help for science class

OpenStudy (blues):

A polar bond occurs with two bonding atoms share the bonding electrons unequally. That is, the atom with the higher affinity for electrons acquires a partial negative charge because the electrons spend more time around it and the atom with the weaker affinity acquires a partial positive charge because the electrons spend less time around it. Hope that's helpful.
