7 3/4?

Well, any fraction is considered the same when it can be reduced to another fraction by dividing the numerator and denominator by the same number; OR multiplying the numerator and denominator by the same number. For example: 2/4 If you multiply the top and bottom by 2 then it becomes 4/8, which is equivalent. On the contrary, if you divide the top and bottom each by two, you get 1/2, which is also equivalent. 7 3/4 is a MIXED number as it has a whole number integer AND a fractional component. If they only want a fraction, divide the top and bottom by 2 to get 31/4
