The timestamps on the list of open Q's should light up red when it reaches a certain time and become sticky, at which point it should slowly become purple and then (after 8 hours of no replies,) kill the Q.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This would open up a few little luxuries! If the Q's that 'die' this way are put into a third category "Dead Questions" next to "Open Q's" and "Closed Q's", then I'll bet most of those obscure Q's with no actual ? will end up there. This would be because fewer people are going to help the "plz help me" Q's, when they can jump on the Q with the full text readily available. I'd recommend keeping them separate. (Keep dead unanswered Q's separate from closed solved Q's) But with this, you wouldn't need to close Q's, they would close themselves for lack of activity. or "timeout" Another feature of this would be that when people see their Q in the Dead Q collumn, (if they even care about it) they can simplify their Q and resubmit

i like that lol =)) @darthsid may want to see this :DDDD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did @darthsid see this? Or any other moderators?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(Also, users should be allowed to have more than one open question in a group....not unlimited of course, maybe five or so...)

OpenStudy (darthsid):

Yeah, we saw it. We're considering it.

regarding the 5 questions at a time...it has already been settled that there would only be 1 question at a time so the askers can focus on one question at a time to learn. this is also to prevent the spamming of questions and the homework askers..though i think they may be considring 2 questions at a time...i think the only problem askers have with 1 question at a time is that their question dont get answered and they have to close it and if they close it..they wont be able to reopen it..so i guess a reopen function would be a good idea to satisy the users huh..but this suggestion may be a solution to this already...
