Yeah, @mattfeury has been looking into it. We have a potential fix we'll be deploying soon, but it's an incredibly difficult bug to reproduce in a controlled environment :/ AKA a heisenbug.

You can't message some users if they aren't your fan. I think it's one of the options in the account setup, I don't remember...
