Given the word leak, calculate the number of permutations: i done like this 1x2x3x4 = 24 and for Calculate the number of 2-letter unordered combinations: i done 24/2 = 12. now i am stock to this question "By writing out all the permutations and all the 2-letter unordered combinations, show that the two methods described above give the same result, and that the number of results are consistent with the numbers you calculated above:"???? NEED HELP!
Unordered combinations of 4 letters taken 2 by 2 i think would be 4!/2!2! = 6 not 12

They are asking you to right by hand all the possible permutation of the letters that you can find and then just check that the result is the same that you got using the formula...:) Same for combinations.
