For tan(13), use a linear approximation (Calc I topic). For sin(289), I have no idea. :D

This isn't calculus this is just simple computation of numbers using a device, although if you could use calculus to estimate these values it doesnt state in the question to use it

Yeah well if we didnt have calculators we could use calculus so your answer is still valid you could use linear approximation for both of these
