is there any difference between x rays and gamma rays other than the one that they differ in their energies and origin?i am confused since both of them are made up of photons,what other difference can there be?

They don't differ from origin, only by a different wavelength. As you move across the spectrum from left to right the wavelengths get shorter and frequencies get higher (therefore there is more energy). That higher level of energy is what is harmful to life.

2.Gamma rays have shorter wavelengths than the X-rays.
3.X rays are emitted by the electrons outside the nucleus, and gamma rays are emitted by the excited nucleus itself.
4.X rays are used in hospitals for taking X-rays but gamma rays are not.

X-rays are photons that originate from the energy released by electron in the inner shells of the atom
Gamma rays originate in the nucleus of the atom and are generally more energetic/shorter in wavelength,

But they are both Photons and a electromagnetic radiation

when i said they don't differ in origin i meant they originate from the atoms excited particles, and not from some other thing out there.
