The use of the simple and already often used technique "in medias res" meaning in the middle of things. Start your story in the middle of things. I have a story about a king who dies in battle. You can start where the king is about to face off with the opposing army. Write about his emotions and feelings, which allow you to actually get to the beginning of the story smoothly.

reading is an effective tool for it dear (based on my own personal experience) make it fun read magazines, newspapers or novels.. anything you love reading...try it for a month you will see the results... movies also helps a lot..;) good luck
