The cost per kw/h of solar is far greater than the cost from nuclear power. Even with the enormous investment to produce a nuclear plant , it produces massive amounts of energy at a steady rate that can be easily distributed cheaply. The greatest benefit independent of cost, is with solar. No risk of environmental contamination and no problem dealing with spent fuel. If you believe in man caused global warming,(which I do not) neither source produces CO2.
