how do i solve the equation 3^5/8 divided by 3^-1/8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm ok, how do you, well first 3 to the pwoer of 5 is 3,3,3,3,3 so 9 27, 114 divided by 8 = 14 , divided by -3, -2 because you divided by eight, now -2 divided by 14 is -7

Notably\[\frac{a^b}{a^c}=a^{b-c}\]so what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3^{5/8}\div3^{-1/8}\]
