Is the following a perfect square trinomial m^2-10m+25 i put yes, just double checking

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

do you know how to factorise this?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

This is a perfect square trinomial since m^2-10m+25 = (m-5)^2 Let me know if you need help factoring.

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

Oh well - jim_thompson5910 has written out the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know how to factor it @asnaseer was just double checking to make sure was perfect square :)

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

any trinomial is a perfect square if it can be written as:\[(ax-b)^2\]

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

where a and b are constants

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

so, in this case, as jim showed above, it is indeed a perfect square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you for your help
