The percentage of farmers using draft horses in their fields in country XYZ had been estimated to be p=84.217-0.6648x, where x is the number of years after 1910. During what year did this model predict that the percentage of farmers using draft horses will be 76%? Can somebody PLEASE tell me why u don't solve the problem using .76 rather than 76? I always thought to solve problems for percentages you were supposed to move the decimal twice to the left before you solve.

Alright, so the problem states that in 1910, 84.217 percent of farmers used horses. Since this percentage is presented as such, you would set the equation equal to 76 instead of .76

Do you see why that is?

yes
