e.g. An Airplane is traveling at a fixed altitude with a negligible wind factor. The airplane is headed N 30o W at a speed of 500 miles per hour. As the airplane reaches a certain point, it encounters a wind with a velocity of 70 miles per hour in the direction N 45o E. What are the resultant speed and direction of the airplane? e.g. Find the four complex roots of unity and plot them.
plot your two vectors split them up into components add both North and subtract east and west and then you add both vectors by doing c^2=sqrt(a^2+b^2) get it :)?
The question cannot be answered without knowing the mass of the aircraft and the side surface area of the aircraft.
Mythias I am with you, could you show your answer on the cartesian plan for comparison?
