The adult leaffooted bug found in Florida is about 3/4 inch long. The adult thorn bug is about 1/2 inch long. How much longer is the leaffooted bug than the thorn bug? http://www.pearsonsuccessnet.com/temp-images/testitems/703910/itemimages/IN_SF_EN_MA_G5_FL_2011_BT_08_0014_1.png OPTIONS A. 2/4 inch B. 3/8 inch C. 1/4 inch D. 1/6 inch

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

ok. Subract the two, to find how much longer one is from the other. 3/4-1/2 right? Now, we want to find the LCM of 4 and 2, so we can subtract. It turns out to be 4, since 2 is a divisor of 4. So, convert 1/2 to x/4, and then try subtracting. Tell me if you have difficulties.

I got 1/4
