Interval notation? I don't remember that but the solution is K> - 5/2 The > is or equal too by the way.

Step 1: Simplify the left hand side and the right hand side. So you will distribute the 4 then the 8 and then add the like terms. Do the same to the right hand side. Step 2: Isolate the k's to one side and put the numbers on the other. If you divide or multiply by a negative number you must remember to flip the sign.

Interval notation would be for example if you had something like \[k \ge4\] then your corresponding interval notation would be \[[4,\infty)\]
