28=-4(n+15)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

N=-22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) Thnks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait are you sure thats right @Wheaton71

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi @Wheaton71 - please try and explain the question - do not simply give an answer. See OpenStudy's Code of Conduct regarding 'no answer-only,' thanks! openstudy.com/code-of-conduct So, @PaigeMya - in terms of your question, do you know what the next step in this problem is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No @cshalvey i dont:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I don't believe it is actually. I'm pretty sure it goes... -4 * 15 = -60 So add 60 to the other side giving you 88, then divide that by -4n with a final answer of, oh, never mind, it is -22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so the first thing you need to do is multiply what's in the parentheses. This part: \[-4(n+15)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so like -4n +15?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4n +60 -4 multiplies the N and the 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is -60 sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OOh okay thanks i think i got it from here:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(: glad to help thank you @cshalvey

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) Thank you to @Wheaton71 and @cshalvey

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you @Wheaton71 for the explanation - and thank @PaigeMya for sticking through to understand it :). Great job both of you. Oh, and @PaigeMya - you should probably give @Wheaton71 a medal, think he deserved it, eh? ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
