Solve and explain all the questions given in the attachemnt file.
length of night increases, and change to night from day and vice-versa would occur quite suddenly as there will be no atmosphere to cause diffraction as well scattering light rays.
Okay. The other questions please......................
A prism has two inclined surfaces, so even if you the light is incident perpendicular to the first surface, it will bend while emerging from the second. (mudna toh hai hi)
But is there any difference between the refraction of monochromatic and polychromatic light?
But why would night's period increase?
|dw:1334821169427:dw| ab ek aur image hoga shaayad, main soch nahi paa raha abhi, bata hoon ek minute ruko. The difference between refraction for monochromatic and polychromatic light is only this that polychromatic light is made up of more than one wavelengths of light. Now, for different wavelengths, relative refractive index is different, toh bending kisi mein kam kisi mein zyada hogi.(jaise color spectrum mein hota hai) @Ishaan94 explanation for why days would get shorter is that, when the earth then while rotating, when a certain longitude of it is just about to lose direct reception of sun rays, would suddenly get dark. BUT, in the present case, due to atmosphere (OOPS i forgot to mention the most important phenomena here - REFRACTION), light rays bend, and reach that portion of the earth for just a few more minutes than they would have. This elongates the daylight period.
