A cylindrical fish tank in a biology classroom measures 1' 9'' in diameter and is 2' 6'' high. write the formula and find the volume in cubic feet. (round your answer to two decimal places.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

diameter = 1'9" -> 1 foot 9 inches -> 12 inches + 9 inches -> 21 inches height = 2'6" -> 2 feet 6 inches -> 24 inches + 6 inches -> 30 inches since diameter = 21 inches..radius = \(\Large \frac{21}{2}\) = 10.5 Volume of cylinder = \(\Large \frac{h}{3} (\pi r^{2})\) V = \(\Large \frac{30}{3} (\pi (10.5)^{2})\) V = \(\Large 10 (\pi (10.5)^{2})\) i know longer have hte capability to solve this..but the good news is that the calculator can :DDD goodluck!
