What is the difference between Initial and Boundary value problems? What is the interval of validity for the following Initial Value Problem. 6(dy/dx) -2y=xy^4; y(0)=-2

y(0)=-2 is an intial value problem...bcos it gives u the initial values when x=0
The main difference is just what values for y are given if y(0)and y'(0) is an initial value problem if you are given y(0) and y(n) it is a boundary value problem
