How can human interaction with wild dolphins negatively impact the mother/calf bond?
rebeca can you help me
ariesvang can u help me
Yeah! this is the wrong section though jsyk lol It depends on what type of human interaction you're talking about like personal the person is talking to hte dolphin and making the dolphin its pet or like the circle of life kind of interaction. the personal interaction is bad bc dolphins are very social creatures and if a person is feeding, and swimming and paying with a dolphin it is more likely to nelelct or be neglected by the mom and their bond is somewhat distant. If you're talking about "we live on the same planet" kind of interaction. Human wastes such as plastic and metals and trash etc in their habitat is killing their homes as these materials do not disentegrate very well and obviously isn't good for the little guys. Hope that helped. If not...I like dolphins. :)
@sofia_smr This certainly seems like a biology question. You should ask it in this the Biology subject studygroup: http://openstudy.com/study#/groups/Biology @rebeccaskell94 it's hard not to like dolphins ;) I mean Flipper had his own tv show ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flipper_(1964_TV_series))
lol I didn't know that! Flipper...how creative haha
I also wasn't around until like 30 years later...haha
