4x-1=5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 3/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 1 to each side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x = 6 x = 3/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the original problem is 4x/3 -1/3 = 5 so since they had the same base i just got rid of them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x - 1/3 = 5 4x-1 = 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no thats not quite right you should multiply EACH TERM by 3 giving 4x - 1 = 15 - and as faixy said x -= 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh. ok. i get it thnks
