Rewrite the definition “Perpendicular lines form right angles” as a biconditional statement using “if and only if”

OpenStudy (anonymous):

two lines are perpendicular iff they form a right angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about only if

OpenStudy (anonymous):

two lines are perpendicular if and only if they form a right angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okaaay thanks you do you have to include the only if or does it not matter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the task is using “if and only if”

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okaay got it i have one more i think . you guys are alot of help

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Well what do your directions say?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Form a biconditional statement using p: an angle is acute q: an angle measures between 0 and 90 degrees using “if and only if” i dont have any directions i do online schooling so it doesnt really give me anyting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

an angle is acute if and only if it measures between 0 and 90 degrees i.e. "p" if and only if "q"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okaay. that is the form for a biconditonal staement right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's a form for biconditional statement, using "if and only if". Maybe you can do it with other statement, i don't remember others at this moment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. kinda makes sence. Thank you
