@superhotMilf how do you know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

4/8 = (x+4)/22 4*22 = 8(x+4) 88 = 8x + 32 88-32 = 8x 56 = 8x 8x = 56 x = 56/8 x = 7

We need to find the hypotenuses of the large triangle to use pythagorean theorem Remember SOH CAH TOA So lets use the small triangle to figure out the angle we will call A |dw:1334877140190:dw| so we have the base and the height so we will use Tan to solve for the angle tan(A) = 8/4 arctan(tan(A)) = arctan(8/4) A = arctan(8/4) = 63.43 degrees Now we can just use SOH CAH TOA again to solve for the base

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

do you see how to solve it now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thanks

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

We dont need to use pythagrons theorm just been a very long time since I have done these types of questions
